Kootenai Health employees give their time and talents everyday to make a difference in the lives of our patients. No matter your role, your personal dedication and generosity sends a powerful message to the community.
Employee Giving
Kootenai Health enjoys a proud legacy of employee philanthropy and we are honored that so many of our caregivers and their families choose to make Kootenai Health one of their annual giving priorities.
Any Kootenai Health employee can make a charitable donation to the Kootenai Health Foundation automatically by payroll deduction. Each pay period the Payroll Department makes the deduction as per your instruction.
See the list of a few of the over 50 funds you can donate to support the fund that is the most meaningful to you.
If you have questions about our employee giving programs, please contact the Foundation office at (208) 625-4438 or email [email protected].
A Gift of Time
Just as long-term volunteers are important to the hospital, those who donate their time during short-term annual events to raise funds are vital to our successful work. The Kootenai Health Foundation holds two events each year, the Golf Tournament in May, and the Festival of Trees in November. Various volunteer opportunities are available at the events. We would love to have you join as a volunteer, as we support the mission of Kootenai Health, together.
Grateful Patients
Grateful patients often come to us looking for a way to say thank you for exceptional care — you may even have a patient ask how they can give back.
For this reason the Kootenai Health Foundation created the Gift of Thanks program, allowing donors to contribute in honor of a staff member, physician or the organization.
We are asking employees to help by being responsive to patients or family members who have a desire to give back. There is no HIPAA violation if you get the patient’s permission to contact us.
