Kootenai Health Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of Randy Oaks and Sarah Pierce as board members. Oaks and Pierce will begin serving three-year terms on January 11.
Randy Oaks is a co-owner of ISU Haddock and Associates, an insurance company based in northern Idaho. Oaks previously owned 3Acorn Insurance, now a part of the ISU Haddock family. Prior to that, he was president and producer with Dickinson Insurance and was in management with Greene Group Inc.
Oaks is a graduate of Gonzaga University with a bachelor’s degree in business. A community-minded person, Oaks was named Citizen of the Year in 2015 by the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce, and serves on four boards and three executive committees of area non-profits with regard to finance, capital and building new facilities.
Sarah Pierce is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and a partner with Anesthesia Associates of Coeur d’Alene, which contracts to provide anesthesia services at Kootenai Health. She is the first female partner to join Anesthesia Associates of Coeur d’Alene.
Pierce received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Washington State University at the Intercollegiate Center for Nursing in 1999 and returned to school at Gonzaga University graduating in 2012 with a master’s of anesthesia education. Pierce is a member of the Anesthesia Joint Operating Committee at Kootenai Health and serves on the Anesthesia Associates of Coeur d’Alene board.
With a passion for helping others, she created the Pierce Family Scholarship with the Kootenai Health Foundation to provide scholarships for employees at Kootenai Health who seek training opportunities that allow them to advance their careers. She and her husband have three children, Hailey, Julia, and Jack.

The Kootenai Health Foundation was established in 1983 to support the health care needs of our community. The mission of the Foundation is to advance the health of our community by developing, managing and stewarding philanthropy to support the success of Kootenai Health. Over the past 33 years, gifts to the Foundation have provided over $16 million to directly support patient care at Kootenai Health.
